Question by 47: carrying a high powered scope seperate from a rifle?
Do you think carrying a high powered scope seperate from a rifle would be better for tactical observation than binoculars? i wouldn’t think so, but why not exactly? seem to be easier to stick in a jacket or just store, idk. but it’d be observing in woods or un-inhabited urban areas, so not like I need somethin clandestine. but thats not my point, i just want to know which is better and why.
yea i wouldnt be needing to put it back on a rifle, it’d be off at all times

Spotting scopes typically have higher powers and larger glass than binoculars. Their purpose is to help the spotter place shots for the shooter. In some situations binoculars work fine for this too, but longer range work needs higher powers than most binos can achieve.
